Cellulite: what does it mean?

More than 90 percentages of the mature women seems to have cellulite at least once in their life time, and it is often misunderstood as obesity.. However, it is seen rarely in men.
Cellulite usually appears in subcutaneous fat layers of skin because hormones produced by the body during the normal metabolism aids cellulite formation. Estrogen and Folliculine are also assisting the formation of cellulite. Cellulite formation is common in woman when they undergo hormonal changes such situations like pregnancy, puberty or taking contraceptive pills because hormones are responsible for the blood circulation, fat and lymphatic outflow.
Fat cells situated at subcutaneous layer forms a loose network but these layers have nothing to do with the formation of a cellulite in human body. The fat layers of subcutaneous layer help to form large cavity which store the fat in females however in men, the cavity seems small and store only small quantity of fat that is not able to form a cellulite.
Physiological transformation that evolves in subcutaneous fat layer is actually the reason of cellulite formation. Even though the exercise or dieting does not help the reduction of cellulite, malnutrition and dehydration will accelerate the cellulite formation.
Flabby cellulite is formed in aged people because the thickness and elasticity of the connective tissue in the peripheral fat layer of their skin are weakened.
Hundreds of products are available in the market that claims to be the best against cellulite. But, most of them are not producing any substantial result as of their claim. It is very difficult to weed out which products are good and which are not. Therefore, ask for professional advice before you try out wonder products that promise to eliminate cellulite in a week.
