Cellulite: a modern medical term that disturbs the ‘youth’
April 18th, 2008 | by admin |We found it through our constant research that the technical jargon, Cellulite, is one of the most discussed words among the youth. The very interesting fact behind the term is that the word has been contributed by fashion magazines. This statement is self explanatory that how controversial the subject is.
We would like to present an overview of cellulite with only pure academic interest. We neither recommend nor approve any product or medication or treatment in terms of result or efficiency that we might discuss during the dissection. We only wish to facilitate you to take your own decision by putting forward some points that to consider.
The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) stated that there is not such a medical condition which is described as cellulite in US. It does not mean that there was no such medical condition in US but the ‘term’, Cellulite, was not there. Now there are hundreds of medical products and treatment available in the market. These products are claiming to be the ‘best’ against Cellulite.
Cellulite: what does it mean?
Cellulite is actually fat deposition marks that appear like an orange strip and in a scattered manner in skin. It is common among woman because the subcutaneous layer helps to form large cavity for the fat accumulation.
Overweight, aging and genetics are some reasons behind the formation of cellulite. However, sometimes these definitions become irrelevant as these marks appear in slim woman. The cellulite formation is usually seen in the areas such as thigh, buttocks, hips and abdomen.
It has to be considered that some normal woman and rarely men are exposed to cellulite even though it is not visible. Unfortunately, no treatment or products are worth against the cellulite formed due to aging.
