Remedies and treatment available for cellulite

If we do not agree that the cellulite is a disease, then how can we discus the possibility of “cure”? We do not have any intention to make any statement here because that is your prerogative.  Whether cellulite is a disease or not, various treatments are practiced in order to remove the cellulite. If you open your eyes towards the surroundings, you can find hundreds of advertisements that aim for the ‘removal of cellulite’.

Skin creams and ointments are the most advertised products. Body wrapping techniques, electronic muscles stimulation etc., follows it. Whatever be, there were cases when such creams proved to be allergic. These allergies are visible only when it is in contact with a tissue surface.

Our advice is to make sure the anti cellulite lotion you want to use is not allergic. Try it on a small part of the skin and wait for a day to see if any allergic reactions occur.

Topical treatment:

Most products against cellulite are coming under the category of skin care or thigh cream. Most of them are claims that:

  • They aid in collagen production enhancement
  • Strengthening of elastine as well as collagen fibers
  • Stimulate the cells to release fat and thereby cellulite removal
  • Reduces the water retention

The question is whether these products are drug or cosmetics. The government has clearly defined what a drug is. It reacts and makes structural changes to the body function. The manufacturers claim that the treatment removes cellulite, so does this cream make any structural changes? It’s up to every one to research before trying on a medical product, but in such cases, a professional advice would be the best choice.
